Put a Light Fan in your Power Supply
Tools you will need:
Philips head screw driver
Cutters and or wire strippers
Electrical tape or butt connectors with crimper
Lighted Fan (available at Our Store)
NOTE: Use Extreme CAUTION when doing this project. Make sure power supply is unplugged! I / We will NOT be held Responsible for your STUPIDITY! If you do not feel comfortable enough to do this DON'T TRY IT!!
STEP ONE:
Remove the four screws located on top or side of the power supply that hole on the top cover and remove them.
STEP TWO:
Carefully remove outer casing by sliding it straight up without shorting internal components.
STEP THREE:
Locate the cooling fan and follow the red and black wires coming off of it to its source on the board and cut it with about two inches of slack from the board.
STEP FOUR:
Locate and remove the four screws holding the fan in place and carefully lift out the fan.
STEP FIVE:
cut off small connector supplied with you new fan and cut it off with about two inches of slack. (this way if you want to change the fan you can just unplug it rather than cutting and splicing a new in every time)
STEP SIX:
After splicing the connector to the wires coming off the board wrap the in electrical tape to avoid shorts. Then plug in you new fan and replace in mounting location. After closing up the power supply turn it on and admire your work.
